Drums .. base pedal?
Im planning on buying a double pass pedal. Should I buy a simple bass drum with a pedal, or do I buy one for 1 double pedal bass drum, it will have the same effect? and Id like to know how prices can go cheap and this good mark is to get another bass drum or pedal. I have a Mapex drum kit is one, just to know if u can double pedal can put http://usa.mapexdrums.com/drums/q/index
If I had to make the decision. I would go with Tama Iron Cobra bass pedal. The reason I'm being so specific because there is simply no bass drum pedal more balanced to me a Tama Iron Cobra. I agree with the other post about the tuning. If your serious about your sound you will get picky about your tuning, and thats going to add more time to save up before the show. It will also be less maintenance than having to replace the heads on two bass drums, as opposed to two. Plus you would have to implement than other pedals to be well balanced with the pedal, you already own. Plus you have to lug another kick around, which means you will also buy another case for the bass drum, if you take care of your business. Already obvious eh? Good luck!
