Which method is best for finding the volume of a cylinder, and why?
I need to know which is more accurate in finding the volume a cylinder? Water displacement, or first measuring length and diameter of the cylinder (then calculating length x pie r-squared)?
When doing an experiement I got a lower percent error when using the water displacement method. But why?
The object may not have been perfectly cylindrical, and therefore didn’t conform to your equation for determining volume. The water displacement method is unaffected by non-conformity of shape.
